Europe

Europe is a continent rich in history and cultural diversity. It’s the second smallest continent, forming the westernmost part of Eurasia and occupying nearly one-fifteenth of the world’s total land area. Europe is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and various seas to the south, including the Mediterranean.

The continent is home to around 50 sovereign states, with Russia being the largest and most populous. Europe’s climate is moderated by warm Atlantic currents like the Gulf Stream, which temper winters and summers, especially closer to the sea.

Europe has been a cradle of Western civilization, heavily influenced by ancient Greece and Rome, and later by the Christian consolidation during the Middle Ages. Today, it’s known for its high standard of living, democratic institutions, and as a hub of economic, political, and cultural activity.
